RF Edge Monitoring
UniSoft offers a TV signal monitoring solition for broadcast stations.
The system consists of a StreamProbe system located at each transmission site and multiple RF reception PCs ("Monitoring Nodes") at multiple locations within a broadcasters foot print.
The StreamProbe mosaic provides an excellent overall view of the quality of channels being received at each location.
Highly detailed information can obtained by clicking on each thumbnail video display within the mosaic.
If a Monitoring Node is connected to a display, we can also show one of the services being received, signal diagnotic information and a news ticker on the screen. See an example.
Some Details
- StreamProbe system located at the transmission sites.
- Multiple Receiver Nodes located across the footprint.
- Each measurement node consists of a small-form factor Linux PC and a HDHomeRun from Silicon Dust.
- PC drives HDHomeRun and SRT transport streams sent to StreamProbe.
- Monitoring Nodes can be connected to a display showing live signal dignostic information. The screen is rendered by Ryarc's CMPlayer. Other data, such as a news ticker can also be included.
